It looks like the Chicago Bulls will be missing one of their best players when they travel to Washington to face the Wizards on Tuesday night (6:30 p.m. on CSN). According to Bulls Insider Vincent Goodwill of CSN Chicago, shooting guard Dwyane Wade is unlikely to play.
No Valentine tonight. The plan is for Wade to rest tomorrow in DC— Vincent Goodwill (@vgoodwill) January 9, 2017
Wade, 34, is likely to get the night off to rest, as the Bulls will be in the second game of a back-to-back set. A 14-year NBA veteran, Wade is still logging 30.5 minutes per night and Chicago would like to keep him as healthy and fresh as possible.
That should represent a break for the Wizards because Wade is still very good. He is second on the Bulls with 18.6 points per game, second in steals (1.4/g) and third in assists (3.8/g).
A future Hall of Famer, Wade signed with the Bulls in free agency this past summer. Chicago is 17-17 with Wade in the lineup and 2-1 without him.
