Mike Shanahan said Monday that the Redskins will evaluate the team’s coaches, players and schemes during the bye week.
But one thing that will not change, he said, is the personnel on his staff.
“No,” the coach said flatly when asked about the possibility. “There will be no changes.”
The Redskins are 3-6 and do not play again until they host the Eagles on Nov. 18. The team's five-day break begins Tuesday.
Through nine games, defensive coordinator Jim Haslett’s injury-riddled unit ranks 30th in passing yards allowed (2,715) and is tied for most passing touchdowns yielded (20).
Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins is always open to some coaching no matter who it comes from. On Friday that coaching came from Veronica, an 85-year old woman who works at Congressional Country Club and is a die-hard Redskins fan.
Cousins posted a picture of the pair together on his Instagram account Friday afternoon.
Veronica made some solid suggestions, especially the one about him getting the ball out of his hands quicker.
Despite the rocky contract situation with the team, there's no question that Cousins loves the passionate Redskins fan base.
