On an afternoon that was supposed to be all about Robert Griffin III vs. Andrew Luck, another rookie ended up stealing some of their spotlight in the Redskins 30-17 victory over the Colts.Alfred Morris, in the starting lineup for the second consecutive week, rushed 14 times for a game-high 107 yards (7.6 per carry) and a touchdown at FedEx Field. Morris breakthrough performance included impressive dashes of 17, 18 and 23 yards.Griffin and Luck werent bad, either. The Redskins signal-caller completed 11 of 17 pass attempts for 74 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions in his most extensive work of the preseason. Luck, meantime, was 14 of his 23 for 151 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions.Morris, though, is the player everyone will be talking about.Because if there wereanydoubt whether Morris would earn a spot on the 53-man roster, his performance Saturday likely clinched it.The only question now, it appears, is whether Coach Mike Shanahan will tap Morris as the starter Sept. 9 in New Orleans over Tim Hightower, Roy Helu Jr. and Evan Royster.Hightower, playing for the first time since last October, gained 28 on 5 carries, proving hes sufficiently recovered the left knee injury that cut his 2011 campaign short. Meantime, Roy Helu Jr. (two sore Achilles tendons) and Evan Royster (right knee strain.) were both sidelined.
