Every season the Washington Nationals have become a favorite to contend for the World Series, as they rightfully should. Over the past five seasons, they have won the National League East three times.
They have some of the biggest names in baseball returning with 2015 NL MVP Bryce Harper, 2016 Cy Young winner Max Scherzer, two-time All-Star pitchers Stephen Strasburg and Gio Gonzalez, Jayson Werth, and Daniel Murphy.
Each year they have made the postseason though, the Nationals have been eliminated by a NL West team in the NL Divisional Series, twice by the Los Angeles Dodgers and once by the San Francisco Giants.
Here are important dates and series that the Nationals will face this season.
