COLLEGE PARK -- It turns out Maryland freshman guard Melo Trimble has been playing hurt. Not hurt from a television camera falling on his face or a center’s eye jabbing into his cornea.
Melo Trimble has continued to produce, even if it's not by scoring points. It turns out that he has been playing a large portion of this season through injury.
With 10:08 to play in the first half of Sunday’s game against Iowa, Maryland guard Melo Trimble drove to the basket and was fouled as he split two Iowa defenders near the rim.
It was a rough first half for Melo Trimble, which included a bloody nose and swollen eye. Details here.
