It’s fair to say DC United can’t wait to get back on the field at RFK Stadium.
D.C. United was playing in Houston. The Black and Red had never won there in 12 previous trips in all competitions. For United to get a win it was never going to be easy and it wasn’t.
For D.C. United the spot in the 2014 MLS Cup playoffs is secure. The 0-0 draw last Saturday against Sporting Kansas City did the trick.
United knew the challenge was formidable: win by three or more goals in order to advance.
