The thought of the free-agent contracts handed out over the summer rubs Wizards center Marcin Gortat the wrong way.


With the intense NBA offseason cooling down, there is time for reflection on what the Washington Wizards accomplished and a chance to look at the road ahead.


While the Wizards seek out viable, albeit modest help for their vacant 15th roster spot, some notable names could have new homes before Thursday's NBA trading deadline.


Now that the Wizards are among the NBA's elite teams, they're going to have to get used to low-rung teams such as the Utah Jazz giving them their best shot. 


Getting up for the Utah Jazz, after routing the Los Angeles Clippers two days ago, is difficult proposition for any team though no one in the locker room will admit it.
