Following the NBA's Board of Governors meeting Tuesday, commissioner Adam Silver raised eyebrows when he said that "a significant number of teams" are not profitable.
A few weeks ago Capitals center Brooks Laich referred to NHLPA executive director Don Fehr as the tip of the sword in sports labor negotiations.
That tip is getting sharper by the day.
The inevitable occurred today when the National Hockey League announced the cancellation of all NHL games though Oct. 24.
As the Capitals players representative for the NHLPA, Brooks Laich has no problem taking a stand for something in which he believes.
