Steve Blake receives death threats over Twitter

Lakers guard Steve Blake missed the potential game-winning shot in the finalseconds as Los Angeles collapsed late, ultimately losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The put the Lakers into a 2-0 hole in the best-of-7 game series. The defeat could hardly be pinned on the former Maryland star; the Lakers blew a seven-point lead in the final two minutes with Kobe Bryant's miscues and perhaps Mike Brown coaching gaffes taking center stage during the collapse. Blake was indeed open in the right corner, but the shot erred. It happens. It happens a lot. Based on the nasty tweets Blake and wife received following the loss, you wouldn't think so.Our online relatives at Pro Basketball Talk have the latest evidence (courtesy of ESPNLA.com) manners are outdated for many in the internet age.

After the game, both the Twitter feeds of Blake and his wife, Kristen, were inundated with criticism ranging from curse word-laden rants to threats.I hope your family gets murdered, read one tweet that Kristen Blake re-tweeted along with a single comment: Wow.Its pretty disappointing that there are a lot of hateful people out there, but you move on, Blake said. I just dont appreciate it when its toward my family. You can come at me all you want but when you say things about my wife and my kids, that makes me upset. Not that is should matter, but Blake's starred in the Lakers Game 7 win over the Denver Nuggets. That was on Saturday. I guess when the irrational hate is flowing memories are incredibly short. I hope that our collective tolerance for such misplaced and cruel behavior is as well.

Su'a Cravens and Will Compton ate dinner together, but only one got attention from fans

Back in February, fans named the Redskins the third-most attractive team in the NFL. On top of that, Will Compton was tabbed the league's fifth-best looking player overall (in fact, he beat out Tom Brady, and everyone knows beating out Tom Brady in anything is always notable).

A side effect of being revered for your good looks, though, is that other people will sometimes get jealous of them. Take Compton's teammate, Su'a Cravens, for example.

According to some tweets from Cravens, the two Washington defenders were casually eating dinner on Wednesday night, but kept getting interrupted. The reason for the interruptions?

Apparently, they were happening because Compton is just really, really, really, ridiculously good looking

Hopefully Compton picked up the tab, at least.

Capitals beard guy unleashes epic beard at Avalanche game

By now, you’ve probably seen the phenomenal “8” beard of the Capitals beard guy. His name is Eric Brooks and his beard is multi-talented.

Brooks moved to Denver from Rockville, Md. and now graces Caps-Avalanche games with the presence of his beard as he first did in 2013 when he unveiled the 8. He unveiled a new design for Wednesday’s game and stole the show.

Check it out in the video above.

Molded to perfection Brooks managed to style his beard into a white “CAPS” leaving people like me with barely a five o’clock shadow with some serious beard envy.

Never stop being you, Brooks.
