During an end-of-year press conference that was long on rhetoric and short on specifics, Redskins general manager Bruce Allen defended the signing free agent defensive end Jason Hatcher and putting the franchise tag on linebacker Brian Orakpo.
An hour after announcing that defensive coordinator Jim Haslett had parted ways with the Redskins, team president Bruce Allen said a decision on the fate of Haslett’s remaining assistants had not yet been made.
In a spirited session with the media, Redskins general manager told reporters he takes the blame for Washington's struggles. "You can blame me," Allen said. "I'm responsible."
