Former Redskins wide receiver Josh Morgan got into an altercation in front of a popular D. C. nightclub and ended up being taken into police custody.
According to NBC Washington, Morgan accused Kenneth Johnson, a valet driver at Cities Restaurant and Lounge, of “checking out” one of Morgan’s female companions. Morgan allegedly punched Johnson.
Morgan, a D. C. native who recently signed with the Chicago Bears after two years with the Redskins, was taken into custody, charged with simple assault, and released. He promised to appear in court at a later date.
Update: Morgan has commented on the incident via NBC Washington: "I didn't touch him. I didn't anything. This is crazy. I'm not worried about nothing. "
