The Redskins have signed punter Blake Clingan, according to his agent.
Clingan spent last offseason in with Lions but has never appeared in an NFL game.
The 25-year-old played for Central Florida from 2007-10, averaging 39.9 yards per punt on 251 attempts.
Clingan’s agent, David Canter, announced the signing on Twitter, writing, “Congratulations to #TeamDEC client @Bclingan8 on signing with @Redskins.”
Clingan joins Robert Malone as the punters on the Redskins’ roster this offseason. They’ll compete to replace Sav Rocca, who was released in March.
