The Redskins will host Tom Brady and the Patriots for three joint practices this summer, the team announced Monday afternoon.
The practices are scheduled for Aug. 4-6 and will take place at the Redskins’ two-year-old training camp home, the Bons Secours training facility in Richmond.
The Redskins then will host the Patriots in the preseason opener on Aug. 7 at FedEx Field.
“Thanks to the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center we have a facility that has the capabilities to host joint practices of this nature where both teams can come together and prepare for the 2014 season,” General Manager Bruce Allen said in a story posted on the team’s website.
The joint practices will be free and open to the public. Times for the sessions will be announced a later date.
The Redskins and Ravens have held joint training camp practices in the past and the Bengals participated in joint sessions with the Falcons last August when Redskins’ Head Coach Jay Gruden was the offensive coordinator in Cincinnati.
