The memories of RFK Stadium, the venerable downtown D.C. stadium that saw so many great Washington teams, comes alive every fall. Depending the route one takes to the FedEx Field in Landover, many pass right by the sloped roofs of RFK, a reminder of the past greatness of the Redskins.

And every year, a cacophony of noise arises to play one more Redskins game at RFK. Just a preseason game, the thought goes, to let a new generation of 'Skins fans see how the stands used to shake on big third down plays. Rick Snider had the idea of a charity game to be played at RFK, similar to a game being played in San Francisco at the old Candlestick Park before the 49ers move to their new castle in Santa Clara.

One problem, pro football hasn't been played at RFK in years. The college bowl game that was held at RFK moved to Annapolis to play in the Navy Stadium. D.C. United wants out of RFK, actively pursuing a new stadium. The memories are fantastic, but the facility is falling apart.

What do you think? Should the 'Skins play one more at RFK? Is it even plausible? Let us know in the comments.
