According to a source, Jerry Rice Jr. has signed a contract with the Redskins. That source is Rice himself.
The son of the NFL's all-time leading receiver sent out a picture of the top of a standard NFL contract via his Instagram account. The team is "Pro Football, Inc.", the corporate name of the Washington Redskins.
The message with the picture reads:
Just blessed This is an amazing day and I'm excited to get back to work to help the redskins get back to the promised land. They gave me an opportunity and best believe they will get 110% out of me! Thank you for everybody who believed in me when it was dark.. This is for y'all #Washington#Redskins #NFL #Signed #Blessed #Cantbelieveit
Rice went undrafted after playing for UCLA and UNLV in college. During his college career he caught 19 passes for 142 yards. He tried out with the 49ers, where his father enjoyed the best days of his Hall of Fame career, and the Ravens earlier this year but he did not sign a contract.Update:
