The nation's No. 1 college football recruit according to Rivals.com, Woodbridge (Va.) defensive lineman Da'Shawn Hand, will announce his college decision Thursday at noon on NBCSN. Leading up to the decision, Comcast SportsNet will take a look at his recruitment, where he could end up, and how he would fit at each possible destination.

Michigan, Florida, Alabama

The SEC is built on speed and that's what Hand will bring to the defensive line at the school he chooses. Florida has had it's struggles getting to the quarterback this season, though.

The Gators rank 78th in the country in quarterback sacks per game with just 1.7 per contest. With Hand's balance, size, and speed, he could change the complexion of the team's pass rush on day one.

Over the past few seasons, we've seen some of the nation's top defensive line recruits end up in the SEC. Jadeveon Clowney at South Carolina and Robert Nkemdiche at Ole Miss were both top Rivals prospects before landing at SEC programs.

One famous Gator lineman that went on to play in the NFL? Jevon Kearse.

Florida had the final visit with Hand, coming this past week. That can sometimes work to a school's advantage, though Florida lost to Vanderbilt over the weekend.

"They showed me a lot of love and they were really honest," Hand told Rivals.com. "It sucks that they lost, but I still had a good time down there. I got to see how they handle adversity, so that's always a good thing to see."

But as has been the sentiment for a while, academics are important to Hand.

"None of [the other factors are] really going to be a big factor for Da'Shawn Hand," Rivals.com's Mike Farrell told MLive.com. "It's going to come down to sports management and marketing or civil engineering. I know he could do engineering at Michigan, but it's all about the presentation. And I think Michigan made the best presentation."
