The whole world is getting on social media.
Runners participating in the Marine Corps Historic Half Marathon on Sunday May 19 can be tracked by friends and family on Twitter and Facebook as they make progress along the 13.1 mile half marathon course. The "Track a Runner" program is being presented by the Hyundai Hope on Wheels program.
"The Track A Runner program was initiated with great success during the 2012 Historic Half so runners and spectators can share these instant updates on Facebook and Twitter," Rick Nealis Historic Half Race Director said in a statement. "Family and friends who cannot attend the Historic Half can join in the excitement over these social networks."
