Michal Neuvirth is looking for a fresh start in Buffalo after being traded to the Sabres on Wednesday just hours before the trade deadline. Though Neuvy has struggled over the last three years, Sabres GM Tim Murray thinks he knows exactly what the 25-year-old netminder needs to get back on track.
Here is what he told the Buffalo News:
“I think when he gets to feel some love again or whatever you want to call it and has an opportunity, then he can get his game back.”
That's one way of putting it. The Sabres themselves aren't exactly feeling the love now from their fans after announcing Neuvirth will keep his No. 30 jersey. Just days after longtime goalie - and former Vezina Trophy winner - Ryan Miller was traded away, the Sabres gave his jersey number to Neuvirth.

As you can imagine, fans were not pleased. Those are some big shoes to fill.
