Remember the days when Alex Ovechkin was one of the most marketable players in the NHL?
Remember the shaggy-haired Ovi with the lovably imperfect smile?
Hockey fans do.
Ovechkin’s “Russian Spy” commercial for ESPN has been named one of the 10 best in the history of ESPN’s ad campaign and on Thursday the network will count down its top 50 commercials. Ovechkin has to be in quite a few of them.
But was his Russian Spy Commercial his best ever?
We don’t think so, either. So, what’s been your favorite?
Was it the recent one with him playing street hockey with fans outside Verizon Center?
Or his "Hockey At Its Best" commercial with defenseman John Carlson?
How about this weird kitten commercial?
Or this Mr. Big commercial?
Or his stab at rapping, sort of?
Our personal favorite might the classic head in the mailbox ad.
But what about you? What’s your favorite Ovi commercial? And if you could create the perfect TV ad with Ovechkin, how would you do it? Join the conversation below?
