The league has announced that the Capitals will host the Bruins on Sunday at 3 p.m. for Game 6 of the series. The game will air on NBC.
The Capitals are looking to take their first lead in their series when they return to Boston Saturday (3 p.m., NBC) for Game 5. The Caps skated away with a 2-1 overtime victory in their last visit to TD Garden, a game that ended with several Capitals getting doused by cups of beer thrown from the irate Boston crowd.
The Caps will have Nicklas Backstrom in the lineup Saturday afternoon after the 24-year-old center served a one-game suspension for cross-checking Rich Peverley at the conclusion of Game 3 in Washington.
With Backstrom back in the lineup, Capitals coach Dale Hunter is expected to make either Joel Ward or Mike Knuble a healthy scratch in Game 5.
Goaltender Michal Neuvirth said he is still feeling pain from his lower body injury but will dress as Braden Holtbys backup for the first time since suffering his injury on April 5 in the Caps playoff-clinching win over the Florida Panthers
