Itching for the chance to settle into your favorite chair and watch Alex Ovechkin prove that last year’s Hart Trophy was no fluke?

Comcast SportsNet released its TV schedule on Wednesday, featuring 63 games on CSN and 10 more on CSN Plus for a total of 73 games.

The coverage kicks off on Tuesday, Sept. 17 with the second annual Baltimore Hockey Classic at 1st Mariner Arena. The Caps will face the defending Eastern Conference champion Boston Bruins in this year’s Classic.

CSN will also televise the Caps’ final home preseason game against the Flyers on Friday, Sept. 27.

Regular season coverage kicks off with the Caps’ home opener against the Calgary Flames on Oct. 3 and will continue with a total of 71 regular season games.

Among the highlights are:

Nov. 9 – The Caps visit Phoenix for the first time in two seasons, where they’ll face Mike Ribeiro for the first time since he left the Caps to sign with the Coyotes.

Nov. 15 – The Caps make their first visit to Detroit, where they’ll face their newest Eastern Conference rivals.

Nov. 29 – The Caps celebrate Black Friday with a 5 p.m. home game against Danny Briere and the Montreal Canadiens.

Dec. 7 – Matt Hendricks and the Nashville Predators make their first visit to Verizon Center.

Dec. 8 – The Caps face the New York Rangers for the first time since their Game 7 defeat in the first round of the 2013 Stanley Cup playoffs.

Dec. 23 – Bruce Boudreau and the Anaheim Ducks visit Verizon Center for the first time since the coach’s dismissal during the 2011-12 season.

Feb. 27 – The Caps return from the NHL’s Olympic break with a game against the Florida Panthers in Sunrise.

March 10 – Loosen those vocal cords. Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin battle it out at Verizon Center.

April 13 - The Caps close out their regular season schedule with a home matinee against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The award-winning team of Joe Beninati, Craig Laughlin and Al Koken will handle CSN's coverage throughout the Capitals' season.

The Caps’ prospects are scheduled to hit the ice at Kettler Capitals Iceplex on Sept. 5, with veterans expected to join them one week later.
