Redskins wide receiver Aldrick Robinson and safety Brandon Meriweather were involved in a bizarre collision prior to the Redskins-Bucs game this afternoon.
The two players collided near the goal line as they were warming up out on the field. Robinson, a reserve wide receiver, was standing near the goal line when Meriweather, who was expected to start at strong safety, ran into him.
According to CSN Washington Redskins Insider Tarik El-Bashir, it looked like Meriweather hurt his left knee, the same one that was injured and kept him out of the lineup for the first three games of the season. It looked like Robinson was injured in the head or neck area.
We have no details as to the extent of the players injuries. Both were designated as inactive for the game.
CSN Washington will pass along further updates as they become available.
