Is this the final go around for Shanahan?
Mike Shanahan has been putting off questions about he future for the past few weeks. On Friday, in what could be one of his last news conferences as coach of the Redskins, he stayed true to form.
He has said repeatedly that he would sit down with owner Daniel Snyder at the end of the season and they would discuss his future. Since the season ends on Sunday, he was asked if he had scheduled that meeting. His three-word reply:
“No, not yet.”
Shanahan was then asked if he usually met with Snyder on Monday or on another certain day after the season ended.
“No . . . We don’t have anything scheduled now.”
OK. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
The entire news conference last about a minute and a half.
