Mike Shanahan on what annoys him about Tony Romo

The NFL is reportedly looking into whether the Cowboys failed to disclose Tony Romo’s back ailment on the injury report last week.

Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan, however, said on Tuesday that he’s not sweating the issue – before cracking a joke about it.

“The only thing that annoyed me was the play he made at the end of the game,” Shanahan cracked, referring to Romo’s game-winning, 10-yard touchdown pass to DeMarco Murray with 1:08 remaining.

Teams are required by league rules to report all injuries and can be fined for not disclosing them. Romo, who is suffering from a herniated disk, was clearly moving with some difficulty late in the game.

Asked if he noticed that Romo’s back was ailing on Sunday, Shanahan said he did not.

“I had no idea,” he said. “I thought it was his ankle from the way he was moving.”
