Robert Griffin III completed another day of practice Friday without suffering any ill effects from the concussion that knocked him from last week’s game, Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan said, and barring a setback is expected to suit up Sunday against the Vikings.

“I’m not sure what we’ll list him as,” Shanahan said of Griffin’s official status for Sunday. “But if he passes the test and we don’t see any setback, he’ll be ready to go. So if he’s listed a questionable or probable, it all depends on the doctors.”

Shanahan added that Griffin practiced fully on Friday, meaning he took the usual number of reps for a starting quarterback. The rookie was limited on Wednesday and was near full participation on Thursday, according to Shanahan.

Asked if the Redskins thought of giving Griffin the week off even if he passes all the tests, Shanahan said: “That’s why we have doctors. Doctors make those decisions; we don’t. But …if he has these tests after practice today and all of a sudden he’s not feeling good or something’s wrong, obviously we’re not going to take a chance.”

Griffin said on Wednesday that he expects to make his sixth consecutive start.
