Robert Griffin III addressed the controversy that arose when his father, Robert Griffin Jr., was seen in the locker room following the Redskins’ Monday night loss to the 49ers.
“My dad came to check on me,” said the Redskins’ second-year quarterback. “He came to check on me to make sure I wasn’t injured. Mom was upset. He wanted to do his fatherly duties and step in there and see if I was OK. That’s all I can say.”
Griffin said that while he was “shocked” to see his father in the locker room, he said that the senior Griffin “meant no harm”.
