Redskins Darrel Young still a question mark
Fullback Darrel Young (hamstring) and tight end Niles Paul (illness) did not practice Thursday, Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan said.
Young was hurt in practice last week and did not suit up against the 49ers. Young, who has a history of hamstring injuries, said he’s hopeful that he’ll be cleared to play Sunday night against the Giants.
Paul, meantime, suffered a rib injury against the 49ers. He’s missed the past two days of practice because he’s sick, Shanahan said. Paul is Young’s backup at fullback.
“He’s been sick enough to miss two days, so he’s not feeling well,” Shanahan said. “We’ll just have to wait and see.”
