Kirk Cousins: "We all point the finger at ourselves"
With the Redskins trailing 45-10 early in the fourth quarter to the Kansas City Chiefs, Washington coach Mike Shanahan decided to sit starting quarterback Robert Griffin III and put in backup Kirk Cousins.
RG3 had been 12 for 26 for 164 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the game against the Chiefs. Griffin missed open receivers multiple times during the game, but also had little time to throw facing a ferocious Kansas City pass rush.
This marks Cousins first game action since a late October loss to Denver. In that game Cousins went 5 of 9 for 48 yards and a pair of interceptions.
