The Redskins signed seven players to reserve/future contracts on Tuesday, according to the NFL’s transactions report.
Punter Robert Malone (Fresno State), running back Davin Meggett (Maryland), tight end Gabe Miller (Oregon State), cornerback Ryan Mouton (Hawaii), tight end Richard Quinn (North Carolina), center Tevita Stevens (Utah) and cornerback Peyton Thompson (San Jose State) all signed deals.
Meggett, Miller, Stevens and Thompson were on the Redskins’ practice squad when the team’s season ended.
Malone has appeared in 31 games for the Buccaneers, Lions and Jets, averaging 44.5 yards per punt, including an 84-yard punt for the Jets last season.
Mouton was in Washington’s training camp last summer, while Quinn has appeared in 30 games, including one with the Redskins in 2011.
The contracts take effect March 11, when rosters are expanded to 90 players.
