Redskins sign John Potter, waive Pat White
CSNWashington.com's Tarik El-Bashir is reporting that the Redskins have signed kicker John Potter, according to a league source.
According to multiple media reports, the team released quarterback Pat White to create a roster spot for Potter.
There is no word on whether or not Potter will be the kicker on Sunday when the Redskins face the Packers. Kai Forbath has a groin injury and he was listed as questionable on yesterday's injury report.
Potter was with the team during the offseason program and during training camp before being released in the first round of roster cuts last month. He did not attempt a field goal in training camp. As a memeber of the Bills for six games last year he was a kickoff specialist and he has yet to attempt an NFL field goal.
Update: The Redskins have announced the two roster moves.
