How many Redskins coaching candidates are currently in the playoffs?

Update 5:15 p.m.: The Redskins have confirmed the Bisaccia interview via Twitter.

The Redskins are scheduled to interview Cowboys special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia later today, according to ESPN’s John Clayton.

Bisaccia, 53, was hired by the Cowboys in Jan. 2013 after a one-month stint at Auburn under. Prior to joining the Cowboys, Bisaccia spent two seasons in San Diego as the Chargers’ assistant head coach/special teams.

Bisaccia has no head coaching experience.

He also served as the Buccaneers’ special teams coach from 2002-2010. During his final three seasons in Tampa Bay, he held the title of assistant head coach. His time there overlapped with Redskins’ General Manager Bruce Allen and, according to a tweet from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Bisaccia has remained “close to Bruce Allen.”

The Redskins have already interviewed Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and the team has plans to interview Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott, Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell and Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell in the coming days.
