DeAngelo Hall was nursing a “sore” hip on Monday, a day after the veteran cornerback got hurt late in the Redskins’ 24-17 loss to the Giants.
“His hip is sore,” Shanahan said. “I really don’t know; he’s getting treatment on it.”
Hall was limping after the game and said he expected to have tests on the hip at Redskins Park on Monday.
It’s unclear when exactly the injury occurred, but Hall was spotted on the trainer’s table in the fourth quarter after getting slammed to the turf by tackle Will Beatty after Hall helped keep Victor Cruz out of the end zone. Hall was flagged on the play for retaliating against Beatty.
“I was pretty upset with D-Hall during the game because he’s a competitor and he’s done a great job recently of trying to stay away from it,” Shanahan said of the penalty. “Then after I took a loot at what the offensive lineman did to him, I could understand why he retaliated even through you never want a guy to retaliate.”
