Yesterday, Mike Shanahan did not refute an NBC Washington that tight end Fred Davis played very little against the 49ers on Monday night because he missed some meetings during the week.
Today, Davis flatly denied the report.
“No. That’s not true,” said Davis. “And that’s not the reason why, [he didn’t play much]. I never blew off any meetings.”
He did admit to being a little late to one meeting. Davis played just 10 offensive snaps but he said that that was about what he expected to play.

“It wasn’t really like getting plays, it was really just to help out and stuff,” Davis said. “It sucks, but eventually, you can only do what you can control. When you get an opportunity like last week, you do your best.”
