Jay Gruden getting used to being in charge
While there is still more than a week until the official beginning of free agency, roster moves are happening around the NFL. In Philadelphia, the Eagles announced a new contract for Jason Peters, and speculation suggests a deal for Riley Cooper is imminent. Elsewhere around the league, players are signing extensions, in discussions about restructuring, or getting cut. There is action.
However, little seems to be happening between the Redskins and Brian Orakpo. Bruce Allen has made it clear Washington considers 'Rak the team's No. 1 priority, and the prospect of placing the franchise tag on Orakpo remains. But with such little news surrounding the free agent pass rusher, should Redskins fans be nervous?

Washington has a lot of holes to fill, particularly on defense, not to mention a new head coach. Jay Gruden reiterated Allen's comments about the importance of bringing back 'Rak, but until a contract is signed, talk is talk.
So is there reason to worry with so little news on an Orakpo extension? Or are both sides just digging in for long-term negotiations? Does 'Rak's team know a franchise tag is coming, and in turn, they are playing it cool in the public eye?
