Shanahan talks RG3 injury, play calling in Denver
The Redskins loss to the Broncos left the team with a lot of questions, but one that many fans seemed frustrated about was play calling in the second half.
Early in the third quarter, after a defensive touchdown from DeAngelo Hall, Washington held a 21-7 lead. To that point, Alfred Morris and the Redskins running game had looked dominant.
And then it seemed the run game went away.
Morris ended the game with 17 carries for 97 yards and a touchdown, but should he have gotten the ball more in the second half? Did Washington and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan elect to pass the ball too much in the second half? Should the team have looked to milk the clock a bit with a lead?
