Shanahan concerned about RGIII's health vs. ATL?
When Robert Griffin III last spoke after the Redskins blowout loss to the Chiefs, he was confident about starting at quarterback against the Atlanta Falcons. Now, that does not seem so certain.
In the days since that Chiefs loss, Washington coach Mike Shanahan has suggested RG3 might sit the remaining three games of the season. Shanahan said that Griffin has taken too many hits and it may be time to shut down the quarterback for his own protection. That doesn't even address ESPN reports about the closeness of the young QB and Redskins owner Dan Snyder and Shanahan's response.
Griffin will address the media Wednesday, and his every word will be parsed. His reaction to Shanahan's recent comments will be the most interesting. It could be electric, or the savvy second-year player could keep his cool. Which way will it go?
