When free agency begins in a few weeks, the Washington Redskins face one monster question: What to do with outside linebacker Brian Orakpo? Orakpo's greatest strength is rushing the passer, and when healthy, it's something he does well.
'Rak will not come cheap, not coming off a Pro Bowl season where he had 10 sacks and an interception. So what's the going rate for a high-end pass rushing linebacker?
A look at some comparable contracts around the league reveal Orakpo could be in for a monster payday, according to info available via Over the Cap. Green Bay's Clay Matthews, the highest paid player at the position, signed a contract worth $66 million, with $20.5 million guaranteed. Behind Matthews, Cowboys DeMarcus Ware has a deal worth $78 million and $25 million guaranteed.

Orakpo will not command the same money as Matthews or Ware, but he won't be too far behind either. Last offseason Paul Kruger agreed to a $40 million contract with $20 million guaranteed to sign with the Cleveland Browns.
So what will Orakpo's contract look like? Will the Redskins franchise their star pass rusher? Or will they reach a long-term deal? Let us know what you think in the comments.
