Your Thursday morning open thread:

The Redskins were non-competitive in their first two games of the season. The finally had a chance to win a game in the fourth quarter last Sunday but Aldrick Robinson's drop of a touchdown pass and the fumble by Robert Griffin III scuttled their chances.

But were they really that close? Or do you get the feeling that if the Redskins had scored more the Lions would have been able to make another push on offense, toss another one up to Calvin Johnson and retaken the lead?

Robert Griffin III was asked if he thought the team was about to turn the corner. “I think we’re real close," he said.

As a team are they close? Do you get the feeling that if they can convert another third down or two and eliminate some of the missed tackles and all of a sudden become the team that won the division last year?

Do you agree with RG3? Or disagree?
