Upon first glance at the Redskins offense, no questions exists about who ranks as the top wide receiver on the unit. Pierre Garçon broke team records in 2013, and he sealed the No. 1 wideout role in his two years with the team. Beyond Garçon, the receiving group has plenty of questions.
Aldrick Robinson, who next season will be in his third season out of SMU, has shown flashes of a playmaker. Robinson has elite speed, but he has not always been sure-handed. Late in the 2013 season Robinson seemed to develop more route-running technique, allowing him to get open underneath, which could allow for great improvement in 2014. And with news Robinson signed a new deal, Bruce Allen and Jay Gruden may be counting on Robinson.
Can Robinson be the second-leading WR for the Redskins?
With concussions perhaps an issue for tight end Jordan Reed, Robert Griffin III needs another receiver he can count on to catch the ball beyond Garçon, can that guy be Robinson? Odds are Santana Moss will not be with the Redskins in 2013, so there will be catches available. Receivers often put it all together in their third season out of college. Could that be the case for Aldrick? Let us know what you think in the comments.
