Rookie Redskins safety Bacarri Rambo landed on the inactive list Sunday for Washington's game against Atlanta. At various points this season Rambo has started at safety for the beleaguered Redskins defense.

On the season Rambo has registered 43 tackles and one sack in 10 games played. The rookie out of the University of Georgia generated great excitement for the Redskins franchise when he was drafted, but the results this year have been underwhelming.

Tackling presents the most concerning issue for Rambo, a serious problem for an NFL safety. At times Rambo seems hesitant when trying to bring down an opposing player in the open field, and his missed tackles have showed up on highlight reels throughout the season.

Without Rambo, the Skins will lean more on Brandon Meriweather at the safety position. Not without issues of his own, Meriweather has become a controversial figure for a series of helmet-to-helmet hits, but the veteran does not have problems with tackling like Rambo.

Beyond Rambo, Chase Minnifield, Brandon Jenkins, Josh LeRibeus, Darryl Tapp are all also on the inactive list. Joining the inactive list for the first time this season: Robert Griffin III. Rookie tight end Jordan Reed landed on the inactive list again, still suffering from the lingering effects of a concussion.
