Haslett: Kerrigan 'playing excellent football'
Ryan Kerrigan suffered a minor knee injury toward the end of Sunday’s game but the Redskins' linebacker does not expect to miss any playing time, he said Wednesday.
Kerrigan did not miss a snap in the loss to the Lions. He leads the team in sacks with three and ranks third in tackles with 20 behind inside linebackers Perry Riley and London Fletcher.
“I just banged it up a little bit,” Kerrigan said. “I’m feeling good today and I’m expecting to fully practice.”
Kerrigan said the injury is to his left knee and it was the result of getting hit, not twisting the joint.
“It happened toward the end of the game, luckily,” Kerrigan said. “It wasn’t bad enough to keep me from coming out.”
Kerrigan has never missed a game in his three NFL seasons.
