Alfred Morris or Marshawn Lynch?

Alfred Morris says he’s not a star, but he’s getting star treatment after his performance in the Redskins’ division clinching win over the Cowboys on Sunday.

The rookie running back earned NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors after he rushed 33 times for 200 yards in three touchdowns to pace Washington to a 28-18 win over Dallas.

Although Morris was clearly the best player on the field, he declined to accept accolades after the game. “I’m never a star, I’ll never be a star,” he said. “Some people might think I’m a star but I’m just Alfred.”

The honor is the first for Morris, who set a Redskins record by finishing the season with 1613 yards rushing.

Morris is the first Redskins rookie running back to win player of the week honors and he is the first Washington running back to take it since Clinton Portis did in Week 5 of the 2008 season.

Rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III was the NFC Offensive Player of the Week in Weeks 1 and 11. The Redskins are the first NFL team to have a rookie running back and quarterback named offensive player of the week in the same season.
