NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the Baltimore Ravens by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
BALTIMORE RAVENS (4)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 4) - Old habits of road nail-biters needs to be erased.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 8) - Appeared to take Chiefs for granted, which they won't do in next game against Cowboys.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 4)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 5) - A tired team in KC last week but they survived a bit of a scare.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 4) - Never apologize for winning ... never apologize for winning ... never apologize for winning ... even after a 9-6 stinkeroo in KC.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 3) - The Ravens are the most penalized team in the AFC with 42 for 363 yards.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 4) - The Ravens are good enough to lead their division, but I just don't know if their defense is good enough to keep them there.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 5) - Once opponents enter Baltimore's red zone, they encounter a red light.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 4) - Scoring 9 points against the Chiefs concerns me but the defense looked like it did a few years ago.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 4) - That was a "turn back the clock" to the Ravens circa 2000 win led by a dominant defensive effort for the Ravens, besting the Chiefs 9-6. Another win nonetheless as the Ravens keep winning.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 5) - A 4-1 start is impressive, but a 9-6 win over lowly Kansas City is further proof the Ravens must become a better road team to claim home-field advantage in the playoffs.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 4) - Well, what do you know? They can play defense, too.
