Ballot and comments from AP Pro 32 panel voter Dan Pompei of Chicago Tribune:

Week 7

DAN POMPEI (Chicago Tribune)

1. Atlanta Falcons - They aren't getting any style points for the way they have been winning lately, but they are the NFL's only unbeaten.

2. Houston Texans - There is no disgrace to losing to Aaron Rodgers when he's on his game like he was Sunday.

3. New York Giants - They reminded us Sunday that they were Super Bowl champions last year for a reason.

4. Baltimore Ravens - You have to respect the record, but injuries to Ray Lewis and Ladarius Webb could make it difficult for them to stay on top.

5. San Francisco 49ers - They have played two teams with current winning records and lost to both of them.

6. Chicago Bears - The combined winning percentage of the four teams they have beaten is .380.

7. Green Bay Packers - Their record says they are 3-3, but their fans say they should be 5-1. Hard to argue.

8. Seattle Seahawks - Now, if they can just beat a team in the NFC West, they will be set. Big test Thursday versus the 49ers.

9. New England Patriots - You can't win Super Bowls playing the kind of defense the Patriots are playing.

10. Washington Redskins - They haven't been consistent, but on a good day the Redskins might be able to beat any team in the league.

11. Minnesota Vikings - Cracks in the foundation could be starting to show, but the Vikings still have a lot going for them.

12. Arizona Cardinals - Two straight losses to teams with current .500 records is not an encouraging trend.

13. Denver Broncos - They were a .500 team with Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow; they are a .500 team with Peyton Manning.

14. San Diego Chargers - They should be cut some slack in the power poll because they wore their powder blues.

15. Detroit Lions - Beating the Eagles on the road could be a victory that turns around the Lions.

16. Pittsburgh Steelers - They have been incapable of putting two good weeks together.

17. Philadelphia Eagles - They have lost three of four and next have to take on the undefeated Falcons.

18. Miami Dolphins - Who would have bet they would be tied for first place in the AFC East at this point?

19. Cincinnati Bengals - They were showing promise but now are losing games they are supposed to win.

20. St. Louis Rams - The Rams are becoming the type of team that commands respect even in defeat.

21. New York Jets - If you can't throw it, there is another way to move the football. And the Jets might have discovered it.

22. Dallas Cowboys - Getting in position to win is one thing. Actually winning is another.

23. Buffalo Bills - Beating the Cardinals on the road was impressive, but the Bills still have a lot to prove.

24. New Orleans Saints - Drew Brees did not throw a touchdown pass last weekend. Chances are good he'll throw one this weekend though.

25. Indianapolis Colts - The Colts had a predictable comedown Sunday; now let's see if they can find some equilibrium.

26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Beating the Chiefs was one thing. If they can beat the Saints and Vikings, that will be something else.

27. Tennessee Titans - It appears Chris Johnson and Kenny Britt are headed in the right direction, and that could bode very well for the Titans.

28. Oakland Raiders - They were impressive in defeat Sunday. And that is progress for the Raiders.

29. Carolina Panthers - A weekend off might have helped Cam Newton more than any amount of coaching could have.

30. Cleveland Browns - They are 1-12 over their last 13 games, but they also are on a one-game winning streak.

31. Kansas City Chiefs - The offense wasn't any better with Brady Quinn under center than it was with Matt Cassel.

32. Jacksonville Jaguars - They drop to No. 32 even though they didn't play last weekend. It's been that kind of season for the Jags.
