Sundays game against Dallas had to be kind of weird for Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan. In addition to the teams 16-play script (first and second down only) to start the game, he didnt have to abandon the game plan.

The Redskins fell behind 10-0 but rallied to lead 14-10 at halftime.

There was no scrapping of the game plan in the second half because the deficit was double-digits.

The offense was keeping drives alive (first downs on six of the last eight drives).

The result was the second-highest point total of the season (24, behind only the 28 points scored in Week 1).

Among Shanahans better calls was the two reverses to start the game (even though they didnt really work), which showed some diversity and Rex Grossmans quarterback-sneak for a touchdown.

Six different players had rushes and nine different players caught at least one pass.

That gives you a little bit of confidence, fullback Darrel Young said. Hes a coordinator for a reason and its not because his dad is the head coach. I like what hes doing with this offense. He comes into the meetings every week confident in what hes going to call. Theres no hesitation on the sideline whether its first-and-10 or third-and-13.
