With personnel changes expected over the next several weeks leading up to the Mystics' training camp in mid-May, Washington selected forward Victoria Dunlap with the 11th overall pick in the WNBA draft on Monday. The 6'-1" Dunlap was the SEC's Player of the Year, averaging 17 points and 8.7 rebounds a game.

Meanwhile, the Mystics are trying to shop starting guards Lindsay Harding and Katie Smith, after both players informed the team that they do not want to return for the upcoming season. Harding was an all-star last season, averaging 12.1 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds per game, but with the return of guard Alana Beard from injury, Harding's role may be diminished. Smith, who has contemplated retirement in the past, averaged about 9 points and 2 assists for the Mystics last season.

The Mystics also selected Karima Christmas in the second round (23rd overall) and Sara Krnjic with in the third round (35th overall).

Christmas is a 6-0 forward, from Duke, and was named to the 2011 All-ACC tournament first team. She averaged 7.7 points and 4.6 rebounds in her four years at Duke.

Krnjic is a 6-4 center and currently plays in the Euroleague for Pecs, in Hungary. Krnjic is from Serbia is currently averaging 12.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.

Minnesota selected Connecticut forward Maya Moore with the number one overall pick.
