Hello all! Just checking in to let you know that I'll be dropping by on the regular with some observations on DC Sports, the world of sports and from time to time, other things on my mind. Don't know about you but I love this time of year more than any other. The NFL and college football are rolling, the NHL and NBA are about to get rolling and college hoops is on the way plus, I've turned into something of a soccer fan in recent years and my English Premier League fantasy team (the blackrussians) is kicking much (thank you Drogba).
- On Today's Wash Post Live (5 and 11:30) the big story will of course be Skins at Eagles. My man Gene Wang of the Post will be in along with Rich Tandler of csnwashington.com and Barry Svrluga of the Post, who recently became a father.
- It's a good group and we'll have fun. Get involved with texts by hitting 68683 (type WPL and your comments) andor tweet us at twitter.comwashpost.live.
- The focus is naturally on the quarterback position where Donovan McNabb and Michael Vick will tangle in a game that has serious meaning for both teams and both fan bases. Personally, I'd take either quarterback and feel fine but the real difference is that Vick has DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin to throw to plus Brent Celek while McNabb has Santana Moss, Chris Cooley and ?.
Also, hit Geno up for fantasy advice. The dude doesn't really have a life so fantasy football is pretty much his thing. Hit us up and get involved!
