Looking for quarterback depth, the Arizona Cardinals selected Virginia Tech quarterback Logan Thomas with the 120th overall pick in the fourth round.

After a sophmore campaign with the Hokies in which he passed for 19 touchdowns and rushed for 11 more, most pundits believed Thomas was on the rise as an NFL prospect. His stock dropped, however, after an inconsistent final two seasons, which is what led to him falling to the Cardinals in the fourth round.

Still, Thomas showed flashes of being able to develop as a passer at the next level. Believed to have the ideal frame for the position at 6-6 and 266 pounds, the hope for Arizona is that head coach Bruce Arians -- known for his prowess as a quarterback guru -- will help develop Thomas behind veteran starter Carson Palmer.

Thomas played in 46 games at Virginia Tech and finished his career with a school record 24 rushing touchdowns as a quarterback.
