A day after receiving their first running back commitment of the class of 2015, Virginia added a second in Christopher Sharp.
The Princeton, N.J. native verbally committed Friday only two days after declaring his three top choices to be Virginia, Iowa and Rutgers.
“Rutgers, they recruited me very hard and it was really hard to not choose them,” he told NJ.com, “But at the same time, UVa is such a great school, I couldn’t pass the opportunity up.”

Rivals lists Sharp as a two-star recruit…as a linebacker. Virginia, however, chose to recruit him as a running back. The position is not unfamiliar to Sharp as he did play running back in high school which you can see from his highlights, but most schools sought Sharp for his defensive abilities.
“Actually, Virginia was the only school to recruit me as a running back,” he said.
Sharp is now the 14th commit of Virginia’s 2015 class.
