The Ravens understandably took a nosedive in the various national power rankings after their 43-13 loss to Houston. Of course, for all the gloom and doom, they still hold a 1 1/2-game lead in their division going into their bye week. Here is where the Ravens stand in various power rankings this week:

CBS Sports.com: No. 8, down two spots: "This defense hardly resembles what it used to be. And I'm not sure it's fixable. They have issues -- big ones."

ESPN: No. 6, down two spots: ”The 30-point loss at Houston marked the largest margin of defeat for Baltimore in coach John Harbaugh's five seasons, a span of 80 games."

Fox Sports (rankings done by former Ravens coach Brian Billick): No. 6, down four spots: “The 30-point loss Sunday was the Ravens' worst since 2007. They have given up at least 180 yards rushing in three straight weeks.”

NFL.com: No. 8, down four spots: "Baltimore takes a dip, and the blame can't all be laid at offensive coordinator Cam Cameron's feet, per the usual. The Ravens can't stop anybody right now, which is why they fall below Seattle in our Power Rankings. Defensive coordinator Dean Pees' outfit has allowed 214, 227 and 181 yards on the ground over the last three weeks."

National Football Post: No. 8, down four spots: "Terrell Suggs' return didn't change the results for the Ravens' defense."

Pro Football Talk: No. 9, down seven spots: "Joe Flacco really is a top-five quarterback.  In his division."

Pro Football Weekly: No. 8, down two spots: "O-line not helping Flacco: sacked 13 times in last four games."

Don Banks, SI.com: No. 7, down five spots: "The Ravens desperately need their bye week to figure out a few things. Like why they're such a different team on the road compared to home, and how they stop the bleeding in terms of their horrible run defense. The good news for Baltimore is it still has a 1 1/2-game cushion in the AFC North. The bad news is there's still nine games to go this season, so you can't just kill the clock."

Yahoo.com: No.8, down three spots: "It's soul searching time for a Baltimore team that showed zero heart at Houston. The Ravens need the upcoming bye and badly. "
